I am fond of all versions and variations of A Christmas Carol (tho' I
haven't been in a hurry to see Barbie: A Christmas Carol, nor Black
Adder's A Christmas Carol yet), because I am slightly obsessive it,
but the 1951 version with Alistair Sims is absolutely my favorite and
(imo) the best version.
I finally got so tired of trying to hunt it down each year, I wound up
taping (remember VHS?) the ones I was able to, so I would have my own
happy collection. Good thing I kept my VCR player.
I suppose I should break down and buy the DVD's... I thought I saw a
boxed collection of the different Dickens' versions last year?
