I had the wonderful experience of being contacted by Cammie King Conlon
just a couple of years ago. She knew of my interest in Technicolor and
recommended that I obtain a copy of her step-father's autobiography,
"Mr. Technicolor" (Herbert T. Kalmus). It had been long out of print
but she knew of a book store that had obtained a copy from an estate
sale. The book, in library binding, cost me a full C-note but it was
well worth it. It turned out that she had inscribed the book to some
friends in 1993.
Cammie was a warm, delightful woman, which I easily determined by her
emails. I've read wonderful things about her and all I can say is that
my brief experience with her was quite charming.
Sleep tight, Bonnie Blue, the bears won't be a threat any longer.
