I find this controversy interesting if not aggravating. I have heard people
complain that it was anti-war and others that it was pro war...from both
sides of the spectrum at times. Tells me they did something very right if
they managed to piss off both.
Someone posted that this was written by someone who served. Not exactly
true. The writer, Mark Boal was a journalist who was embedded with a bomb
squad unit in Iraq. He based this fictional account on his experiences with
little to no officialistance from the US military.
