Have you seen "Hold That Co-Ed"? A couple of musical numbers to
interest fans of that genre, but they're not very good. Regardless,
it's a funny little slight picture from 1938 that shows on Fox Movie
Channel sometimes (not currently scheduled, unfortunately). John
Barrymore, on his way down from respectability but still very
watchable, stars as a corrupt politician who buys the state college a
good football team in order to gain votes for his re-election. The
team includes a female placekicker. Recommended if you get a chance
to see it, lively fun with some laugh-out-loud moments. |
